Dr. Dean Hottum

DC, MS, CCSP, ICSC, CSCS

Dr. Hottum is a chiropractor, sports injury and performance specialist, and certified strength and conditioning specialist with over a decade of experience in high-performance athletics. He specializes in a comprehensive, one-on-one approach to patient care that includes an in-depth evaluation, orthopedic and neurological testing, manual chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue work, and corrective exercises demonstrated and taught in a gym space using bodyweight or various gym equipment.

Dr. Hottum earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University, where he also earned a Master of Science degree in Sport Health Science, both with honors. He then continued his education with extensive post-doctorate training in sports medicine culminating in being a Certified Sport Chiropractic Practitioner (CCSP) with the the American Chiropractic Board of Sports  Physicians and receiving his International Certificate of Sports Chiropractic (ICSC) from the International Federation of Sports Chirorpactic. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is certified in Active Release Technique (ART), Graston Technique, Functional Movement Screening (FMS) and Selective Functional Movement Asssessment (SFMA).

Dr. Hottum is also a former high-performance athlete himself, having competed in wrestling and rugby at various levels of competition. He won a bronze medal for the USA in the Youth Friendship Games in the Netherlands in 2007, played rugby union at varying levels of professionalism in Germany, Australia, and New Zealand,  competed for Life University's men's club program, which won numerous Division 1 trophies, and represented the USA national rugby league team in 2014.
